We are thrilled to welcome Jake Siar to the Acuity team as Business Development Manager for the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area! This represents a major milestone in our commitment to growth and providing comprehensive support to our customers in the region. As a seasoned sales leader with a wealth of experience in life sciences and bioprocessing, Jake is well positioned to lead our business-development efforts in the thriving RTP market.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from York College of Pennsylvania, Jake started his career as a microbiologist at Novo Nordisk in 1994. Since then, he has developed valuable experience in a range of roles, leveraging his technical abilities to drive business development and innovation. At BioLife Solutions, he effectively expanded the company’s presence in the cell-and-gene-therapy market, demonstrating a deep understanding of this complex bioprocessing sector. As the VP of Sales/Business Development at ScitoVation, he was instrumental in developing and implementing new solutions for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Also, while at 3Mensio/Eaote and Medis, he oversaw the development, launch, and service management of several successful new products.
With further expertise in strategic and tactical planning, quality, contract negotiations, inventory distribution control, budget management, vendor relations, and cost analysis, Jake is well-equipped to add value for our clients during the sales process. In addition, his leadership qualities, personable nature, and understanding of the biotech and healthcare industries, make him a valuable addition to our team!
On a personal note, Jake and his wife, Alyssa, live in Raleigh, NC with their two sons (Temple and Forrest), five dogs (German Shorthair Pointers) and 1 cat. They are active in sports with a true passion for salt and fresh water fly fishing.
