We are delighted to announce that Jake Gentes is joining the Acuity Team as the Director of Operations, bringing 15 years of industry experience and knowledge to our group.
Jake began his time in our industry when he joined a local process equipment manufacturer in 2008 as a welder and fabricator, moving into the pipefitting and pipe welding division shortly thereafter. In 2012, he moved onto a field role at a mechanical contractor, gaining knowledge in a variety of piping applications in the chemical, manufacturing, and power sectors.
Jake then joined a much larger, regionally based mechanical contractor in 2013, where he focused on pharmaceutical, chemical, and food-grade facilities. Over the years, he developed into field management and then project management roles in which he executed mid-sized construction projects with personnel, financial, and schedule responsibilities. He was then asked to lead the company’s fabrication division which built process equipment and supported field teams with in-shop pipe fabrication.
Jake possesses a unique set of skills that include hands-on experience, project execution, as well as budget and strategy development. He also has a degree from Rhode Island College and carries a Journeyman’s Pipefitter’s License in Rhode Island. We are confident that he will be a great asset as Acuity continues to be a leader in process solutions for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sector.
